No monthly limit on sealing a Keepsake

Sealing a Session is free, with no monthly limit. Checking a Keepsake stays free. The optional subscription that raised the old limit is retired.

  • The seal path no longer counts a month's seals or reads a billing tier
  • The upgrade button on the seal screen and the free-tier counter on the Session list are gone
  • The subscription is retired — it was priced against the cap, and the cap is gone
  • The Keepsake ring is mauve, and sealing a Keepsake is the only way to earn one
  • Subscribers keep Manage billing on the Session list
  • The Keepsake guide, About page, and FAQ no longer quote a cap

Payments5 updates
  1. Room add-on pricing + rush Checkout

Per-room +1 revision prices and rush offers: clients can pay to move the deadline earlier. Profile defaults still apply when a room doesn’t override.

    • Room add-on pricing panel: override +1 price and set rush fee + earlier deadline
    • Profile defaults for Extra revision price and Rush fee
    • Client rush Checkout moves the deadline after payment (one rush per room)
    • Income summary includes paid rush fees and extra revisions
  2. Paid +1 revision Checkout

Artists can set an extra revision price on their profile. When clients hit the revision limit, they can buy +1 through Stripe Checkout — payout goes to the artist; the room counter updates after payment.

    • Profile field: Extra revision price (USD) — leave blank to disable
    • Client Purchase +1 revision CTA when the limit is reached and Stripe is ready
    • Webhook bumps revisionLimit idempotently; activity + artist notification
    • Change orders cannot lower a limit raised by a paid +1
    • Paid add-ons appear in the year-end income summary
  3. Approval-linked staged billing

When a client signs off a stage, the next stage amount is drafted for the artist to Send — money follows trust, still never held by Yubikiri. Optional Paid to continue waits for that invoice before the next WIP.

    • Invoice draft after sign-off when a stage amount is set (or matches the approved stage); artist taps Send — client is not notified until then
    • Optional artist preference: Paid to continue — lock next WIP until the prior invoice is paid
    • Room banners and notifications explain the flow without calling it escrow
    • Mission and vision statements on About and the homepage

  4. Stripe staged payments

Artists can connect Stripe and request per-milestone payments from commission rooms — optional, with direct payouts.

    • Connect a Stripe Express account from /dashboard/payments
    • Request payment per milestone in commission rooms; clients pay via Stripe Checkout
    • Stages flip to Paid automatically when Stripe confirms payment
    • Payouts go directly to the artist's Stripe account — Yubikiri never holds funds
    • Optional: artists who skip Stripe can still track None / Invoiced / Paid manually
  5. Milestone payment-status tracking

Both sides can see whether each stage is None, Invoiced, or Paid — a shared record, not payment processing.

    • Artists mark payment status per milestone: None, Invoiced, or Paid
    • Status visible to artist and client in the commission room
    • Changes logged in the activity record
    • Payment itself stays outside Yubikiri — no invoicing or fund holding
Trust & verification7 updates
  1. Soft client history on invite requests

Artists reviewing invite requests can see soft signals from a client’s completed Yubikiri rooms — or “New client” when history is thin. Clients can hide this from notification settings.

    • Studio history panel on pending invite requests (approval pace, revisions, client cancels)
    • Fewer than three completed rooms shows New client — never a bad-client label
    • Opt out under Notification settings → Invite-request privacy
    • Never a public client page or credit score
  2. Keepsake Sessions — seal process without a commission room

Artists can record WIP steps for personal or portfolio work, seal a Keepsake, and share a public process page — same free verify path as commission rooms.

    • Dashboard → Keepsake Sessions: start a session, upload WIPs and a final, seal
    • Public process page at /ks/… with watermarked steps and free check link
    • Free tier: 3 sealed Sessions per month; checking a Keepsake stays free
    • Same claims discipline: process recorded through Yubikiri — not AI detection
  3. Keepsake — process records, Seals, and simple guides

Completed rooms can seal a Keepsake process record you can check for free. Keepsake Seals, portable Keepsake records, and simple guides make the system easy to follow.

    • Keepsake seals the room’s shared steps and final files on completion — check at /verify (no account)
    • Daily public list of sealed Keepsakes; offline checker and open protocol for people who want them
    • Keepsake Seal: one-button copy embed for Carrd, portfolios, and listings
    • Dashboard download of your Keepsake records (sealed rooms as artist or client)
    • New Guides: /guides/keepsake and /guides/verify — plain language, step by step
  4. Passport

Portable public track record — JSON, share page, and embeds from completed Yubikiri rooms (same stats as the artist page).

    • Public GET /api/passport/[handle] with track stats, badges, and slot summary (no API key, no client or price data)
    • Shareable track-record page at /a/[handle]/passport with trust strip and marketplace/funds disclaimer
    • Dashboard embed section copies passport page URL, JSON URL, and SVG badge as Passport embeds
    • Developers docs cover the public passport endpoint

  5. Verifiable delivery fingerprints

Every delivered file now gets a SHA-256 fingerprint, and anyone can check a file against the record at /verify.

    • Final deliveries are fingerprinted automatically at upload
    • Public check at /verify — the file is hashed in your browser and never uploaded
    • A match confirms the exact file came from a completed Yubikiri room; it is a documented process, not forensic proof
    • Lookups never reveal client details, briefs, or prices
  6. Embeddable track-record badge

Artists can embed a live SVG badge showing track-record stats on Carrd, bios, or their own sites.

    • Live badge at /api/badge/<handle> with completed count, on-time %, and rating
    • Stats calculated from completed Yubikiri rooms, not typed into a profile
    • Embed snippet copied from the dashboard profile settings
  7. Delivery share pages

Completed commissions can get a public celebration page with track-record stats and rich social cards.

    • Share page at /s/<token> with completed count, on-time rate, and rating
    • Finished artwork appears only with the client's explicit, revocable consent
    • Without consent, the page shows stats without the art
Commission rooms8 updates
  1. Next steps and invites in commission rooms

Rooms lead with what to do next, and getting a client in is easier with a paste-ready invite.

    • A clear next step for invite, upload, approve, pay, or wait
    • Ready-to-copy Discord / DM invite text and a short checklist while you wait for the brief
    • Extra room tools stay tucked away until you need them
  2. VTuber launch pipeline presets

Turn a single art→rig link into a full Illustrator → Cutter → Rigger chain (optional Shader) with file-type handoffs, a cross-room status strip, and a public Launch completed page.

    • Start VTuber launch pipeline from a room — creates linked stages with preset milestones
    • Handoff checklists include expected file types (PSD, CLIP, PNG, model exports, etc.)
    • Cross-room status strip shows where the chain is waiting
    • Dual-consent “Launch completed on Yubikiri” public page for the whole chain
    • Collaborator roles add Cutter and Shader (still not marketplace hiring)
  3. Mutual change orders

Mid-commission deadline, revision-limit, and price changes are proposed by the artist and apply only after the client accepts — then land in the activity trail and agreement PDF.

    • Artist proposes a change order; client Accept or Decline
    • Unilateral deadline and revision-limit edits removed after terms are locked
    • Accepted amendments appear in the agreement PDF and room archive
    • Email and in-app notifications for proposed and decided change orders
  4. Making-of process pages

Completed commissions can publish a consent-gated making-of page built from the room’s watermarked stages and server-recorded timestamps.

    • Stage-by-stage progression with server timestamps and elapsed time between stages
    • Revision and approval events from the activity record — no briefs, prices, or client identity
    • Requires the client's explicit, revocable consent; either side can turn the page off
    • Finals link to their Keepsake tag — a process record, not AI detection or authorship proof
  5. Archives, pipeline rooms, Keepsake tags, and slot openings

Rooms can export a full archive, link art→rigging pipelines, invite collaborators, run bilingual EN/JA comments, and add Keepsake tags to finals — plus timed slot openings and a queue widget.

    • Download a ZIP room archive (agreement, hashes, files, Keepsake tags)
    • Year-end income CSV/PDF from Paid milestones on Payments
    • Embeddable privacy-safe queue widget (SVG) next to the track-record badge
    • Schedule timed slot openings that accept invite requests for a window
    • Optional EN/JA room languages with translated comments when DeepL is configured
    • Collaborator invites (rigger/illustrator) and linked pipeline rooms with handoff checklists
    • Keepsake tags on completed finals — process records, not AI detection

  6. Request an invite

Signed-in clients can ask an artist for a commission invite from the public page; the artist accepts into a normal room or declines.

    • Request an invite form on artist pages when commissions are open
    • Artist dashboard lists pending requests — Accept & create room, or decline with an optional note
    • Accepting routes into the existing new-commission flow; rooms still start with the artist's invite
    • In-app notifications (and email when configured) for received, accepted, and declined requests
  7. Pinned feedback on WIPs

Click a spot on a WIP image to anchor a numbered comment pin — feedback stays tied to the exact area.

    • Click-to-pin comments on watermarked WIP previews
    • Numbered pins with two-way highlight between pin and comment thread
    • Both artist and client can add pinned notes on a WIP
  8. Live room updates

Commission rooms refresh automatically when the other person acts — no manual reload.

    • Room state updates when uploads, comments, approvals, or status changes happen
    • Both sides see changes without refreshing the page
Artist tools8 updates
  1. The Fourth Revision survival guide

A short survival guide for high-ticket commissions — checklist first, product second — with a printable two-page PDF.

    • New guide at /guides/the-fourth-revision
    • Downloadable zine PDF for convention tables
    • Linked from Guides, FAQ, and the site footer
  2. Optional Keepsake ring on your public avatar

Optional Keepsake ring on your public avatar when you seal work or subscribe to Pro.

    • Opt in from Edit artist profile — only shown when you’re eligible
    • Mauve when you’ve sealed at least one Keepsake; warm gold with Keepsake Pro
    • Shows on your public artist page avatar only — marks stay beside your name
  3. Studio Home — setup checklist and clearer modules

The dashboard is now a studio desk: a recoverable first-run path, needs-attention triage first, and status-aware Studio modules instead of a quick-link dump.

    • Set up your studio checklist (profile → terms → pledge → first room → first client)
    • Hide or restore the checklist from any device
    • Studio modules for Your page, Trust, Incoming, Business, and Community
    • Keepsake export lives under Trust; Founding cohort stays for admins
  4. Studio triage — Needs you / Waiting on them

The dashboard splits open work into actions you must take versus ball-in-their-court — change orders, stage pay, approvals, briefs, and making-of consent.

    • Needs your action: Upload WIP, Sign off on WIP, Pay stage, Decide change order, Consent making-of, Review inquiries, Accept collaborator invite
    • Waiting on them: brief, approval, payment, change-order decision, making-of consent, WIP
    • AWAITING_BRIEF no longer appears as something you need to do as the artist
  5. Commission again

From a completed room, artists can start a new invite for the same client with terms prefilled and character refs suggested on the brief — the client still accepts terms.

    • Commission again form on completed rooms and from the dashboard
    • New deadline required; price, revisions, and milestones default from the prior room
    • Invite prefills brief text and pre-selects the same client's character library refs
    • Fresh ToS snapshot and full acknowledgments — not a booking or auto-start
  6. Passport share loops and mobile room polish

Artists can share Passport from the dashboard and their public page, copy a Discord/DM invite blurb for waiting rooms, and clients get clearer mobile pin + pay actions.

    • Dashboard empty state and quick links surface Passport (and profile embeds)
    • Owner “Share your track record” includes Passport URL + copy on the public artist page
    • AWAITING_BRIEF rooms: copyable Discord/DM blurb with invite link and next steps
    • WIP pin Add/Open controls stay visible on touch (no hover required)
    • Mobile sticky bar: Pay stage when an invoiced Stripe checkout is waiting
  7. Commission offerings

Reusable service definitions that pre-fill new rooms and can show on the artist page.

    • Define name, starting price, stages, revision limit, and turnaround once
    • Offerings pre-fill fields when creating a new commission room
    • Public artist page can show offerings with informational "from $X" pricing
    • No checkout — payment stays outside Yubikiri
  8. ToS starter templates

Three professional templates artists can insert and customize before sending a room.

    • Standard illustration, VTuber/stream assets, and Emotes & badges templates
    • Insert from the room or profile editor, then edit to fit your terms
    • Accepted terms still freeze as a PDF when the client accepts
Notifications & Discord2 updates
  1. Discord approvals and /queue

Clients with Discord DMs enabled can approve or request changes from a DM button. Artists get a slash command for anonymous queue visibility.

    • Sign off or request changes (with a note) from Discord DM buttons
    • Requires linked Discord and opt-in commission DMs in notification settings
    • /queue artist:<handle> slash command shows open slots and anonymous queue
    • Queue shows availability without client names, art, or commission details
  2. Web push notifications

Opt-in native notifications on phone or desktop for approval requests and comments.

    • Enable per device from notification settings
    • Approval requests and new comments can arrive as system notifications
    • Works alongside in-app alerts and optional Discord DMs
Platform13 updates
  1. Try a live room before you sign up

Open a real commission room from the homepage with no account — then claim a page or start a Keepsake when you’re ready.

    • Try a live room is the main path on the homepage
    • The public demo uses the same room layout you’ll get for real commissions
    • Claim a page or start a Keepsake even if no client is waiting yet
  2. Also this week

Small polish so first look stays confident while the founding cohort grows — not separate feature releases.

    • Founding artists showcase while the directory is still small
    • Demo room stays mid-flight; share cards preview the try
    • Quieter public footers and “New to Yubikiri” instead of empty track stats
  3. Keepsake Pro, safer rooms, and staff Trust & Safety tools

Optional Keepsake Pro (~$12/mo) raises sealed Keepsake Sessions from 3 to 30 each month. Separate platform work also shipped safer rooms and staff Trust & Safety tools.

    • Keepsake Pro subscription (platform Stripe Checkout) — 30 sealed Sessions each month vs free 3 (~$12/mo default)
    • Room live updates prefer SSE with a gentler poll fallback (less Vercel load)
    • Staff can suspend accounts, hide public profiles, and freeze new invites with an audit log
    • Public artist sitemap + clearer room payment receipts and shared activity records if something goes wrong (still not escrow or dispute mediation)
  4. Polish pass — triage deep links, CO balance invoice, bound repeats

Closes the A− gaps on the last four ships: triage lands on the action, price change orders invoice the delta, Commission again stays with the prior client, and rush offers notify.

    • Studio triage deep-links to approve / pay / change order / making-of anchors; Upload WIP quiet while a CO is pending
    • Accepting a higher price prepares a Change-order balance Stripe invoice; Accept confirms deltas first
    • Commission again copies stage amounts and rejects the wrong client on the invite
    • New rush offers email + notify the client; clearer Stripe-not-ready copy in-room
  5. Developer replies on the feedback board

Staff can reply publicly on suggestions and issues. Authors get an in-app notification and email when someone replies or when status moves to Planned, Shipped, or Declined.

    • Public developer replies under each feedback post
    • In-app + email when your post is acknowledged or ships
    • Deep links to your post on the board

    Related feedback →

  6. Client archive, calendar deadlines, email digests

Clients can archive finished rooms like artists, export commission deadlines to a calendar, and opt into a daily or weekly email of unread updates.

    • Archive / unarchive on “Commissions you ordered” (completed or cancelled only; records kept)
    • Download .ics for one room deadline or all active deadlines from the dashboard
    • Optional email digest (off by default) under Notification settings — does not mark notifications read

    Related feedback →

  7. Installable PWA / home-screen app

Add Yubikiri to your home screen — install prompt, standalone display, and a clearer mobile commission room with a sticky approve bar.

    • Web app manifest + early service worker registration (same SW as push)
    • Install prompt on Chromium; Add to Home Screen tip on iOS Safari
    • Mobile room layout: stacked stats, larger touch targets, sticky client approve actions with safe-area padding
    • Theme color and Apple web app meta for a native-feeling shell

    Related feedback →

  8. Artist directory filters and ranking

/artists can rank public pages by style, budget, turnaround, and completed-room stats — still informational, not a marketplace checkout.

    • Style specialties on artist profiles (up to 8 curated tags) shown in the directory and on public pages
    • Directory preferences: styles, max budget, max turnaround, accepting-now, Yubi Verified, human-made, founding
    • Best-fit ranking from completed-room stats + preference fit; also sort by rating, completed, on-time %, name, or newest
    • Two-column directory layout with sticky filters; accepting-now uses real queue capacity, not just the open flag

    Related feedback →

  9. Light theme toggle

Prefer a brighter studio? Switch between dark and light from the header — dark stays the default, and your choice is remembered in this browser.

    • Sun/moon toggle in the site header (signed in or out)
    • Dark remains the default for first visits and when preference is unset
    • Choice saved in localStorage as yubikiri-theme — no account setting required

    Related feedback →

  10. Artist discovery directory

Browse public artist pages at /artists — track records, marks, and availability without treating Yubikiri like a marketplace.

    • New /artists directory with search, filters, and sort by newest, completed count, on-time %, or name
    • Cards link to existing /a/[handle] pages with stats, open/closed status, and optional “from $X” when public offerings have prices
    • Demo profile included with a clear Demo chip so visitors can see an example
    • Informational only — commission rooms still start via invite; no checkout on the directory
  11. Public API and webhooks (beta)

Artists can now build on Yubikiri — read your own commission data with an API key and get signed webhook events when things change.

    • Create API keys and webhook endpoints from the new Developer page in the dashboard
    • Read your commissions, milestones, track record, and queue via /api/v1 — your data only
    • Signed webhooks for commission and milestone events (approvals, payments, status changes)
    • Responses never include client identities or briefs
    • Docs at /developers — it's a beta API and may evolve
  12. Phase 0 is live

The first public cut: shared rooms, a feedback board, and a firm human-made pledge.

    • Public feedback board with voting and status (open → planned → shipped)
    • Human-made pledge, mark, and private artist reporting with human review
    • Private character / reference library you can attach to a brief
    • Milestone comments, in-app notifications, and optional Discord DMs
    • Anonymous public queues and a /slots Discord command for availability
    • Downloadable agreement PDF from the commission room
  13. Demo room and artist page

A read-only commission room and public track record so people can try the product before signing in.

    • Live demo room at /demo with stages, revisions, and activity log
    • Demo artist page at /a/demo with trust stats and queue
